The NeurOptimal Support Tool is a read-only diagnostic app used by the ZenConnect team to understand what's happening on customer Windows systems — anywhere in the world — without changing anything on the customer's computer.
It's designed to safely collect facts, not perform fixes.
Think of it as a medical scan, not a treatment.
How It Works (In Plain Terms)
- The tool runs a series of non-invasive checks on a customer's system
- It does not install anything
- It does not modify system settings
- It does not leave files, services, or background processes behind
- Once finished, it exits cleanly
Why the Data Is Unique (and Powerful)
Every customer environment is different:
- Different Windows versions
- Different networks, ISPs, countries
- Different hardware, drivers, and software
The tool is designed to work safely across all of these unknown environments, which allows us to:
- See real-world patterns (not lab assumptions)
- Detect issues caused by updates, drivers, or networks
- Understand problems that only appear in specific regions or setups
This diversity is exactly what makes the data valuable.
What Information Is Collected
Only high-level diagnostic signals, such as:
- Which checks failed or raised warnings
- Windows version and edition (bucketed, not exact)
- Network characteristics (e.g. VPN present, high latency)
- Presence of certain software types (not versions, not personal data)
No personal files, content, or identifiers are collected.
What You're Seeing in This Dashboard
The dashboard turns thousands of individual support runs into actionable insight:
- Sessions – individual diagnostic runs
- Problem Pattern Fingerprints (PPFs) – stable identifiers that group similar problems together
- Clusters – show how often the same problem pattern appears
- Trends – highlight emerging or widespread issues
- Copy-ready summaries – easy to paste into Jira, tickets, or troubleshooting notes
